Big Green Egg The Onyx Large

The Onyx is a special edition Big Green Egg finished in a deep, ultra-dark glaze with a subtle hint of green that catches the sunlight – named after the gemstone and designed to blend seamlessly into modern outdoor spaces and contemporary architecture.

Under the finish, it's the same Large EGG you know. The 46 cm diameter cooking surface handles up to 8 steaks, a 9 kg turkey or 6 chickens vertically, with precise temperature control from 93°C right up to 399°C. Grill, smoke, roast, bake and sear – all on one cooker, using charcoal and real wood for unmatched flavour.

The ceramic construction retains heat for hours on minimal fuel, while the dual-damper airflow system gives you pinpoint temperature control at any setting. The Onyx Large is the first EGG to feature the new Dual Zone Cooking Grid with upgraded half stainless steel grids – thicker bars, no cross bars – for easier cleaning and better searing performance.

Every Large accessory fits The Onyx without modification. Pair it with the Dual Zone Deflector Kit, Half Cast Iron Grids, the intEGGrated Nest+Handler or install it in a Modular EGG Workspace or outdoor kitchen.
